What a lovely surprise....!

I had a phone call this morning from Carol of the Alpha Group. She asked me to go around to her house to collect a cheque. The Alpha Group was set up 25 years ago with a purpose of local women fundraising once a year for a local (Upper Clutha) cause. In it's heyday they had up to 35 in the group but numbers have been dwindling as people get older, move away etc.
They have recently decided to change tack and now run it as a social group and so wanted to donate $1400 to the Wanaka Community Hub as a final donation from the group.
Such a very nice surprise...
