The Wanaka Community Hub is excited to announce that we will be holding our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday the 16th of April at The Hub (34 McDougall Street, Wanaka). This year’s event will be a koha entry.
In light of what is happening in Ukraine at the moment, we have decided to donate all the proceeds of The Spectacular Wanaka Children’s Easter Egg Hunt to a charity supporting children affected by the war in Ukraine. We will also be showcasing the Ukrainian Easter tradition of Pysanky (painted eggs) and welcome the children involved to decorate their own Pysanka at The Hub.
Once again, we have received amazing support from our sponsors. New World Wanaka has ensured that there will be plenty of chocolate for everyone, along with support from The Upper Clutha Community Arts Council, Whittakers, Patagonia Chocolate, The Chocolate Workshop and Baker Ross.
If you are unable to make it on the day, we invite all the children of Wanaka to get involved by colouring in their own easter egg - drop into the Hub for a colouring sheet, or download it here. ALL entries will receive a chocolate easter egg!
Numbers are limited. Please register for this fantastic event by popping into the Hub or contacting us on 03 443-2071 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are looking for volunteers to help on the day. If you would like to help out please get in touch.
